To all friends of the Forum
We wish to tell you our sad news that Linda Chase; the founder of the T'ai Chi & Chi Kung Forum for Health, died last week.
Linda was a great friend to many and an inspiration to us all; perceptive, kind, witty and fun to be with, an experienced T'ai Chi player yet wearing her knowledge so lightly. She saw how the tradition could be adapted to make the art accessible to everyone, and pioneered the teaching of T'ai Chi and Chi Kung in many areas of disability and health care never acknowledged before by the martial arts world. In so doing she used her energy and expertise to create a safe and harmonious space, where learning could happen and T'ai Chi could be shared.
She had such style; creating her beautiful Eastern garden in the middle of Manchester, revealing the wonderful music of her words when she read her poetry to us. She had a sense of what was truly important in life; she valued people for who they were....
It is hard to do her justice in a few paragraphs. It is true that we will miss her very, very much.
The Forum would like to compile a collection of your reminiscences and memories of Linda.

We invite you to send them to Alison Warlow in time for our 2011 May Gathering on May 14th & 15th.
